Alex, try going into youtube.com then search "The First Gold".  Is it showing the same??

Just try it, more than hundred search result. I'd a quick glance on frist 10 pages but cannot found it

lvrunner ching, very good video indeed.

I also watched a movie (many times) called "Spirit of the Marathon".  In the movie, there was quite a bit of coverage about this 1st Olympics women marathon race.  The reason is that for many years, women were not allowed to run more than 200 meters in an official race.  

BTW, Joan Benoit was coached by the famous Jack Daniels, whose book Daniels Running Formula, along with the other famous book "Advanced Marathoning" by Pfitzinger/Douglas, is probably the most popular Marathon training method for recreational runners.

Usually, many relatively beginner-ish marathoners (those who shoot for 3+ hours to 4 hours) go with the Pfitz/Douglas method.  Relatively faster runners (those who go with sub 3) go with the Daniels method.
