I think only the Garmin GPS watch can have the function that you want. You can actually enter the distance, the recovery time and # of intervals that you want. The alarm will sound when the distance is up and time of recovery is over. Because of the GPS function, you don't have to run on tracks, you can run anywhere that you like. And all your running data can be downloaded into your PC wirelessly. Only drawback is ~ not cheap!!!! But I think it is a good investment if you are planning to do intervals all the time.
