For me, I only wear long sleeve if temp. dips below 5C.  It was only 11C this morning, I was still wearing my short sleeve and shorts.  I don't usually run with a jacket on unless it is subzero.

It was 10c for me this morning.  I did wear short sleeve tech tee, but I wore my gloves.  My hands are a little bit less resistant to cool weather.

However, I did wear my Brooks 3D Dry Vapor Tight.  Not because of the cold weather but I want to wear compression tight to make my slow recovery runs more comfortable.  For faster runs, I wear shorts even at 0c.

Really !!  Don't you feel numb on your thighs, very easy getting frost bite too.    It is going to be 4C on Wednesday morning, I have to get my winter gear ready for that.

Hi lvrunner ching, 0c is no big deal.  No frost bite.  You probably will get frost bite when it was -15c or colder.  But we only have at most a few days of 0c weather each year.  The low is usually 2-3c.  Not a problem.  I used to run in -5c weather in winter when I was living in the North East.  At that time, I did wear the long wind pants.

I grew up in Canada and used to run in -25C temperature.  In the early 80s, dri fit or moisture control gears weren't even invented yet, I had to wear long johns underneath and layers and layers of shirts and of course a balaclava too.

Of course I know where Calgary and Edminton are.

Sorry for hijacking this thread.  I guess it was day time in North America and hence lvrunner and I was exchanging opinions.

George Ching and Ivrunner

I concur San Francisco probably has the best overall yearly weather for running...every few days I go there, no matter the seasons,  it is suitable for running.

Although I do feel that SF winter is slightly wet for running though, with wind and rain, it does get cold!

It is getting cooler here in HK, the best thing is you do see signifcant improvement in your time and pacing between August and October! I can only crawl little faster than a snail in the Summer months, but now really take off easiler on par with a turtle.....
